At Dallas Bright Futures, we empower prospective and current students to make their future one that is their own through our new scholarship.
The Dallas Bright Futures is proud to introduce the first recipients of the prestigious Monty J. & Sarah Z. Bennett Scholarship. This scholarship, aimed at fostering the academic dreams of outstanding students from the Dallas Independent School District, supports their journey to higher education.
The inaugural recipients of the Monty J. & Sarah Z. Bennet Scholarship represent a diverse group of exceptional students from Dallas ISD schools: Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Irma Lerma Rangel Youth Women’s Leadership School, North Dallas High School, School for the Talented & Gifted at Townview, and Trinidad Garza Early College High School.
These scholars have excelled across a broad spectrum of disciplines, including academics, sports, robotics, and the performing arts. Their impressive achievements include recognition as academic decathletes, AP scholars, National Honor Society members, and student council leaders. Among the honorees are the district champion in girls’ singles tennis, an Outstanding Leadership Class award recipient, and a National African American Recognition awardee.
This fall, they will continue their academic journeys in fields such as Chemical Engineering, Biology, Theatre/Film, Biomedical Engineering, and Architecture at institutions like the University of Texas, Rice University, Howard University, the University of Southern California, and the University of Texas at Arlington. These accolades highlight their dedication, talent, and leadership throughout their high school careers.
